Hong Kong Honey

Going back to the old days, China was one of the first countries that started with the production of honey. Today the country is still one of the biggest exporters, and also consumers, of the natural sweetener. Hong Kong is a perfect place for a very specific kind of honey, the winter honey. A rare type of honey that can only be produced in the South of China, due to its warm winters.

Yan Yat Festival

Yan Yat is the 7th day of Chinese New Year celebrations. Yan Yat Festival is widely celebrated in China. According to Chinese believes it is the day on which men was created, which makes it everybody’s birthday. Traditonally people eat Yu Shen on this day. Yu means ‘fish’ but when pronounced it can also sound like ‘extra’ . Shen does not only mean ‘raw’ but also ‘life’. So essentially who eats raw fish on Yan Yat also lives longer.
